SHORT ITINERARY
- Start Point: Lohajung (base village, ~2,300 m altitude).
- Trek through mixed forests of oak and rhododendron.
- Cross small streams and ascend gradually to Didna Village (~2,450 m).
- Stay: Homestay or campsite.
- Highlights: Traditional Garhwali village life, first glimpse of Himalayan ridges.
- Steep climb through oak and rhododendron forests.
- Reach Ali Bugyal (~3,350 m), one of Asia’s largest alpine meadows.
- Camp amidst rolling grasslands with panoramic views of Trishul, Nanda Ghunti, and Chaukhamba peaks.
- Stay: Campsite on Ali Bugyal.
- Highlights: Expansive green meadows, wildflowers (seasonal), grazing horses and sheep.
- Easy walk across meadows connecting Ali to Bedni Bugyal (~3,350 m).
- Visit Bedni Kund, a sacred lake associated with the Nanda Devi Raj Jaat Yatra.
- Stay: Campsite at Bedni Bugyal.
- Highlights: Sunrise/sunset views over Trishul massif, cultural significance of Bedni Kund.
- Descend via Wan Village, passing through thick forests and river crossings.
- Return to Lohajung by evening.
- Trek ends here.
